Tarpon Springs is the sponge capital of the word. It ss known for its Greek influence, and with that, comes amazing and authentic Greek cuisine. There is a shopping area for tourists and locals called the “Sponge Docks,” which contains numerous restaurants to try, as well as locally owned stores that sell clothing, sponges, and handmade soaps. Many tourists make the city of Tarpon a “must-see” when they visit the Tampa Bay area.
